What’s Tube Fitting?

Tube fitting is a general designation of parts and components that play the role of connection, control, direction change, diversion, sealing and support in the pipeline system. All steel tube fittings are pressure pipe fittings. According to different processing technology, it can be divided into four categories, namely to say, butt welding pipe fittings, socket welding tube fittings, threaded pipe fittings and flange pipe fittings. 1. Classification of the Tube Fitting

1.1 Classification by Use

First of all, the tube fittings used for pipe interconnection include flange, union, pipe hoop, clamp, ferrule, throat hoop, etc. Secondly, the tube fittings for changing the direction of the pipe include elbows and sanitary valves. The pipe fittings used to change the pipe diameter include reducer, reducing elbow, branch pipe abutment and reinforcement pipe. In addition, the fittings used to increase the branch of the pipeline are tee and cross fittings. What is more, gasket, raw material belt, thread hemp, flange blind plate and pipe plug are mainly used for pipeline sealing.

 

1.2 Classification by Connection

According to the connection, it can be divided into welded tube fittings, threaded pipe fittings, sanitary tube fittings, clamp pipe fittings, socket tube fittings and adhesive pipe fittings. The hot-melt pipe fittings, curved elastic pipe fittings and rubber ring connecting tube fittings also belong to this kind of classification.

 

1.3 Classification by Material

Pipe fittings are also made of a variety of materials. According to the different materials, tube fittings can be divided into cast steel pipe fittings, cast iron pipe fittings, stainless steel pipe fittings, plastic pipe fittings and PVC pipe fittings. Rubber, graphite, forged steel and PPR are also the manufacturing materials of tube fittings. In addition, tube fittings can also be made of alloy, PE and ABS.

 

2. Application of the Tube Fitting

The manufacturing process mainly includes hot rolling straight seam welding, medium frequency pushing, cold forming, hot extrusion, etc.
