Remember to use teflon tape on all threaded connections.
While two piece Ball valves can be taken apart to gain access to the seals and ball, it is highly impractical to plan to do so. The amount of torque required to break the seal will likely damage the valve without attention to specific details. When taking it apart, a low profile plug should be inserted into both ends of the valve to prevent crushing when using a pipe wrench or bench vise. Box wrenches or 6 point sockets on breaker bars would be preferable as they apply more even pressure around the entire valve. If you think you be taking them apart often, you should look at the 3 piece ball valves as they come apart much easier. We do not provide warranty replacement on 2pc valves that are damaged when attempting to disassemble.
