National Pipe Taper (NPT) are standardized fittings that commonly used for joining pipe. Due to the tapered threads (wider diameter at the base of the threads, similar to a trapezoid) the male fitting will tighten the further it is threaded into the female. NPT follows the technical standards provided by the American National Standard Pipe Thread standards, often called national pipe thread, which is often where the confusions with NPT arises, as NPT is specifically an acronym that referes to tapered pipe.
National Pipe Straight (NPS) are straight thread that is sized to be compatible with common water heater elements and should be compatible with most NPS straight threads.

Interface Conversion
Designed to connect components with different interface standards. One side features a quick-connect clamp (for CDU manifolds or rigid stainless steel piping), while the other side utilizes a threaded connection (for cold plates, valves, pumps, sensors, filters, etc.), effectively resolving interface incompatibility.
Leak-Proof Sealing
The threaded end is sealed using sealing tape or a gasket, while the clamp end relies on a clamp to compress a sealing ring. This configuration is engineered to withstand the pressures and thermal cycling (alternating hot and cold conditions) typical of liquid cooling loops, preventing coolant leakage and protecting critical computing hardware.
Ease of Maintenance
The clamp-side connection allows for rapid disassembly, while the threaded side remains fixed to the equipment. During maintenance, there is no need to unscrew the entire pipeline—simply loosening the clamp is sufficient to detach the liquid cooling line. A hexagonal design facilitates tightening with a wrench, making installation more efficient.
Stable Fluid Performance
Constructed from 304/316L stainless steel with a polished interior, these components ensure smooth fluid flow. They are compatible with deionized water and ethylene glycol-based coolants, offer excellent corrosion resistance, and are highly resistant to leaching impurities that could otherwise contaminate the liquid cooling loop.
