The German standards DIN 11864‑3 and DIN 11853‑3 define stainless steel clamp fittings for aseptic and hygienic applications. Type 3 refers specifically to aseptic clamp connections (tri‑clamp compatible), while Form A denotes an integral O‑ring groove (O‑section) machined directly into the ferrule. The seal is positioned between the male and female ferrules, ensuring a dead‑leg‑free, cleanable joint.
